West Ashley is a priority
Infrastructure & Connectivity
Addressing West Ashley's aging infrastructure and traffic challenges through creative solutions that keep the community safe, accessible, and connected. This includes fixing outdated roadways strained by rapid growth and reducing bottlenecks in development review processes.
Smart Development & Revitalization
Focusing mixed-use development on blighted areas like the Sam Rittenberg Boulevard corridor to restore West Ashley's charm while preserving neighborhood character. This means repurposing vacant shopping centers and ensuring new development is thoughtfully planned rather than overdeveloped.
Community Investment & Support
Strengthening West Ashley's sense of community by revamping neighborhood parks, enhancing recreational programs for families, and ensuring the City uses its resources more effectively to support the growing number of families with children in daycares, schools, and youth sports programs.
Welcome
I ran for Charleston City Council District 9 because as a lifelong West Ashley resident, I witnessed firsthand how my community was being overlooked by City Hall while other parts of Charleston received attention and investment. My goal is to be a tireless advocate for West Ashley, using my legal expertise and deep community roots to address our area's infrastructure challenges, manage responsible development, and restore the sense of community that has been lost amid rapid growth. I'm driven by a desire to ensure that West Ashley reaches its full potential so that my two sons and other families can enjoy the same strong sense of community that shaped my own life in this neighborhood.
